Sometimes when I love song, I am interested in what, is hidden behind it.
"Driving Home for Christmas" is a popular single written by Chris Rea and released in 1986.
Rea said he wrote "Driving Home for Christmas" when his wife had come down to London to drive him home to Middlesbrough in her Austin Mini to save money because it was cheaper to drive than travel by train. Inspiration for the song came as she and Rea were stuck in heavy traffic heading out of London with a long drive to Middlesbrough ahead of them. It seems such a great story and the song itself is very nice. I imagine how I'm driving home for Christmas to my parents and be listening this song. Lovely.
"Happy Xmas (War Is Over)" released in 1971. Has periodically reemerged on the UK Singles Chart, most notably after Lennon's death in 1980. Also, a protest song against the Vietnam War, this song protests against America's involvement in the Vietnam War.
It's a classic Christmas song written in 1945. This song sounds so magical for me, and even what is sweet, he is usually just stand in front of the camera and sings a beautiful song. Really Christmassy song, and the lyrics sound so wonderfully.
I do not know why, but to me this song is something that I like. The first time I heard I switch it to another, but when I started to listen it more, I started to like it because it is a very funny song and leads to joyful mood.
"Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" a song written in 1943. Nothing is better for such a classic Christmas songs.
Give it a try to listen these songs because they're adorable. What your favourite songs for this festive time?
Sending a lot of warm hugs for all,
Audrey ⛄⛄
