Pumkin Coffee

Since the actual Autumn in Lithuania starts to gather monument and begins to sting the body I thought to myself I should make coffee to warm up in these cold days. And that my drink would taste even more better and definitely be autumnal I made it with a pumkin to create differently image. From the tittle you can guess how it is called - Pumkin Coffee. It's spicy, velvety, refreshing and pleasantly stroking the palate - a real hit in the cold season.

First things first. Chop the pumkin to pieces, put into the baking paper lined baking sheet, together with a pinch of ground cloves, grated nutmeg and 2-3 cinnamon sticks (I didn't have a wand so I was using powdered cinnamon) and cook until soft at 180 degree.

While pumkin is cooking, boil 200 ml of milk with 3-4 teaspoons of sugar. Also make 200 ml of coffee. I was using my MOKA POT for a better esspreso coffee taste.
After it's done obviously, remove cinnamon sticks and blend pumkin pulp, milk and coffee until mashed. Make sure the pumkin well blended, because I failed and smashed not enough.

For finish look whisk 150 ml of double cream with sugar depending on taste. For that I used special milk foam whisk.

Pour coffee mix into a glass and decorate it with double cream foam and sprinkle cinnamon on top. To look better I added caramel and chocolate chips. I'm note sure if thats suits for this coffee, but I wanted to try. The taste was strange for me because I have never drinked pumkin flavoured coffee before but I liked it. Maybe I didn't made how it's supposed to be but it's alright.
So this is my short and simple blog post for today. Hope you enjoyed!

Love,
Audrey xx
